Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information is (and is not) collected when you visit WindsorHillsResortFL.com (the “Website”), how it is used, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to visitors from anywhere, including the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area.

The Short Version

  • The Website does not ask you to create an account, and it has no sign-up, newsletter or contact forms.
  • WindsorHillsResortFL.com does not sell, rent or share your personal information, and does not use it for targeted or cross-site advertising.
  • The only tracking tool on the Website is Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, used to count visits and see which pages are useful. Google Analytics only runs after you agree to it in the cookie banner.
  • If you email the webmaster, what you send is used only to reply to you.
  • Bookings are made directly with independent owners, managers or booking platforms, not with WindsorHillsResortFL.com. Their own privacy policies apply to any booking.

About the Website

WindsorHillsResortFL.com is an informational and referral website about Windsor Hills Resort in Kissimmee, Florida. It does not own, manage or rent any accommodations (see the Terms of Service). For privacy questions or requests, contact the webmaster at [email protected].

Information Not Collected

The Website does not knowingly collect names, postal addresses, payment card details, government ID numbers, precise location, or any sensitive personal information. It does not run advertising pixels (such as Facebook/Meta or Google Ads tags), does not build advertising profiles, and does not buy information about visitors from data brokers.

Information Collected Automatically

Google Analytics (with your consent where required)

The Website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how many people visit and which pages they find helpful. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as:

  • pages viewed, time on page and how you arrived (for example, from a search engine or a link)
  • general device and browser information (device type, operating system, browser, screen size, language)
  • approximate location at the city or country level, derived from your IP address
  • a randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie, so repeat visits can be counted

This information is used in aggregate only, to improve the Website. It is not used to identify you personally or for advertising. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in the Website’s Google Analytics account and is then deleted automatically. For more information, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

You can decline or withdraw consent for analytics at any time through the cookie banner or the small cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of every page. You can also block Google Analytics on every website by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.

Cookie consent banner

The Website shows its own cookie banner, which is built into the Website itself rather than provided by a third-party consent service. Whether the banner is shown to you, and which choices it offers, may depend on your geographic location, since privacy laws differ from place to place. Your choice is saved in a small cookie in your browser (wh_consent) for 6 months, so the banner does not appear on every page. Until you accept, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics are not loaded at all. You can change your choice at any time with the small cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of every page.

Website hosting and security (Cloudflare)

The Website is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare automatically processes the technical information your browser sends with every request (such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested) in order to deliver the page and protect the Website against abuse and attacks. This information is not used to identify or track visitors.

Information You Choose to Send

If you email the webmaster, the webmaster will receive your email address and anything you include in your message. It is used only to respond to you. You will not be added to any mailing list, and your details will not be shared with anyone unless you ask (for example, to pass a question on to a property owner) or the law requires it. Correspondence is deleted when it is no longer needed.

Third-Party Features and Links

Some pages include features provided by other companies. When you use them, those companies may receive information from your browser (such as your IP address) and may set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies:

  • Rental availability and booking widgets (OwnerRez). The availability search and listings on many pages are provided by OwnerRez. If you search dates, request a quote or book, that information goes to OwnerRez and to the independent owner or manager of the rental, not to WindsorHillsResortFL.com. See the OwnerRez Privacy Policy and the policies of the owner or platform you book with.
  • Google Maps. Location pages include embedded Google Maps. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Links to other websites. The Website links to rental listings, local businesses, Facebook and other sites it does not control. Once you leave the Website, that site’s privacy policy applies.

Cookies Used on the Website

CookieProviderPurposeTypical duration

_ga_<ID>Google AnalyticsKeeps track of the current visit (analytics, consent-based)Up to 2 years

Third-party features described above (OwnerRez widgets and Google Maps) may set additional cookies of their own. You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may mean the cookie banner reappears on each visit.

No Selling or Sharing of Personal Information

WindsorHillsResortFL.com does not sell personal information and does not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other U.S. state privacy laws, and has not done so in the past 12 months. Personal information is also not processed for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Because of this, there is nothing to opt out of. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, it is treated as a request not to sell or share, which the Website already honors. You may still decline analytics through the cookie banner.

Your Privacy Rights

U.S. residents

Depending on your state of residence (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information is held about you and get a copy of it
  • correct inaccurate personal information
  • delete personal information held about you
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising and profiling (the Website does none of these)
  • not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

UK and European Economic Area residents

Under the UK GDPR and the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting anything done before you withdrew it). You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

The legal bases for processing are: consent for analytics cookies; legitimate interests in delivering and securing the Website and recording your cookie choice; and legitimate interests in replying when you contact the webmaster.

How to make a request

Email the webmaster at [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request.” Because the Website collects very little and Google Analytics data is not linked to your name, there may be no personal information about you to provide, and you will be told if so. Your request may need to be verified before it is acted on. Requests are answered within one month for UK and EEA residents and within 45 days for U.S. residents, as the law allows. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization. If a request is declined, you may appeal by replying to the response, and the appeal will be answered in writing.

International Visitors and Data Transfers

The Website is operated from the United States. If you visit from the UK, the EEA or elsewhere, the limited information described above may be processed in the United States and other countries by the Website’s service providers (Google and Cloudflare). These providers use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension, or standard contractual clauses.

Data Retention

Information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy: analytics data for the retention period set in Google Analytics, your cookie choice for 6 months (stored only in your browser), and correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

Security

The Website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections and limits what is collected in the first place. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Children’s Privacy

The Website is intended for adults planning travel and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the UK and EEA). It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to the webmaster, contact the webmaster and it will be deleted.

Do Not Track

There is no common industry standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, so the Website does not respond to them. Global Privacy Control signals are honored as described above, and you can control analytics with the cookie banner.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time, for example if a new tool is added or the law changes. When it is, the new version will be posted on this page and the “Last Updated” date above will change. If WindsorHillsResortFL.com ever begins collecting, selling or sharing personal information in a way not described here, this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested where required before that happens.
