Windsor Hills Tennis, Basketball and Volleyball Courts Guide

Blue and green tennis courts at Windsor Hills Resort under a bright sky

The Windsor Hills tennis, basketball and volleyball courts give families somewhere to burn off energy without leaving the resort. They are one of the easy extras that make a Disney trip feel like a real vacation, especially on a slower day between parks.

Tennis courts

The tennis courts have a blue playing area with a green surround, nets and fencing, and they sit among oak trees and palms. They suit a relaxed family hit-around or a doubles game with the older kids. Bring your own rackets and balls, and ask your owner what, if anything, is kept at the home.

Basketball court

The basketball court is a full blue-surface court with a hoop and clear line markings. It is great for a pickup game, free throws with younger kids or a teen cooling off after a theme park day. Bring your own ball, since you should not count on borrowing one.

Sand volleyball court

The sand volleyball court gives bigger groups something to do together. Reunions and multi-family trips can split into teams, and kids just like digging in the sand. Pack sunscreen and water, as Central Florida sun is strong even in the cooler months.

Planning court time around park days

A good rhythm for many families is parks in the morning, a rest and swim in the afternoon, then an easy game on the courts once the heat eases. Teens and tweens often enjoy having something active that is not a screen, and parents get a relaxed way to spend time together. On a rest day, you can plan a small family tournament, with one sport in the morning and another after lunch.

Mixed ages are easy to handle too. Younger kids can shoot baskets or chase balls on the volleyball sand while older kids play a proper game, and grandparents can cheer from the shade. Nobody has to be an athlete to enjoy it.

Tips for using the courts

  • Go earlier or later in the day to avoid the hottest hours.
  • Pack water bottles, hats and sneakers or sandals suited to each court.
  • Let the kids set the pace. A short game is plenty after a long park morning.
  • Check with your owner about current resort rules and any equipment before you arrive.

More to do at the resort

The courts are only part of the picture. Windsor Hills also has a lagoon pool, which is heated, the Sir Windsor AquaVenture water park, splash areas, a playground, a clubhouse, a games room and a gym. A home base that keeps everyone busy

Windsor Hills is a gated resort in Kissimmee, usually about 10 minutes from Disney property and around 10 to 12 minutes from Magic Kingdom. After a park day, you can come back to a private-pool home, townhouse or condo with a full kitchen, then walk or drive to the courts.
